Do you remember the lug pattern for your 15" wheels? Above pic has a pole blocking the view of rear wheel.

I found a build tread on dumontdunes that the car ran 13.00x15 sand quirts, but we don't know the original bolt pattern. If he can find the bolt pattern, he found a place in Temecula that can make a 4 or wide 5 VW adapter to go to 15" wheels. Car has 26" paddles on 12" wheels on it now.

It sounds like you answered the question for yourself...you can't beat the Fortins and luckily they are 930 vs 934 $$$!!!!!
