It's Saturday April 12th 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

No that’s not what I was trying to say lol. It’s not mine, it’s hers. She wants a lift and a lightbar. Maybe she’ll get a lightbar. Fortunately we have only made 1 desert trip this year and she doesn’t drive it anymore so the requests are not as frequent. Jeeps are like a sxs, money pits.

Who did the lowered mini truck deal in the 1980’s?

Yeah mine did too, recovered without a scratch. Then Toyota wrecked it when they were putting interior back in it and a new ignition. I got paid out twice and sold it. Worked out well. Bought an s10 blazer sold it quickly afterwards, then bought a 911, then bought a Toyota truck that I lifted to...

    Damn engine doesn’t fit

Flywheel is correct just clutch bolts hit bell housing, we aren’t the first to mate this stuff together. Found a new motor plate that may solve most of this

    Damn engine doesn’t fit

Won’t clear inside bell housing, not close enough to grind. Back to drawing board, it’ll fit one way or another

When did you first go the Glamis?

1985/1986 season was my first year, bought a Suzuki lt250r quad. First trip out with it ran over my leg scarred my boot for life. Young rookie moves. I don’t remember how I got out there, I had no truck, no trailer. My family wasn’t into the desert, they had an Rv that I used until it blew up in...

    Clutch problems suck

This is what the flywheel will look like, the clutch pictured is what I think we are getting. Motor builder is machining the flywheel and has a clutch package that he has used before. I’m going off of memory for the photo on clutch that I saw 9 months ago in a friends car

    Clutch problems suck

I had a tilton in the early days, bad ass clutch but very on-off. Was hard to stage smoothly. Went away from it because the flywheel was too light and too thin for our application. We needed more rotating mass at the time. We were running a wedgemated flywheel at the time, now we run a flanged crank

    Aggravating or not?

I hear you and both orange and blue suck at getting stock down, finding the item that they have 100 of but the box is empty. One time I was doing a bunch of pvc plumbing, going through the boxes looking for what I needed and they are full of all the wrong sizes and types. I decided it was in...

    Clutch problems suck

Honestly not too bad, 9 out of 10 pieces only make it to the clutch and don’t hit the bell housing. But i’m always afraid of the one piece that leaves the party being its only a cast bell housing.

    Clutch problems suck

Here’s how it actually goes, starts bending the fingers, as they bend it appears we lose equal load then they tear off. We have only ripped 3-4 off per floater, once these pieces come off they tend to get caught in the clutch not allowing release or engagement, also been caught in starter...
