It's Saturday October 19th 2024.. What are you doing this weekend?

Prep work for sealing my driveway...the edger thing with a wire brush sure made cleaning out the cracks a lot easier....and the V squeegee thing helped too. Nice to have a brother in the business with access to the proper tools. Next weekend we seal it. Figured I'll get a few more years out...

Funny, this is one of my favorite rides...if you zig zag just right you can get some nice lines, not all dunes, but more flat sand racetrack like...we end up in wash 23 / 24ish

    Tube bender

Another vote for JD Sqaure - and if you buy this cheapish hydraulic setup for it - you don't need to mount it to concrete - and have it on a roller stand...I have this setup and like it. https://www.swagoffroad.com/products/swag-formed-tubing-bender-air-hydraulic-ram-mount

It's Saturday October 5th 2024.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Productive day. Finished up the last bit of fine tuning on the QA1 install for my C10 and took a test run up to old Julian highway. Pretty stoked on the difference, but still need to play with the coil over adjustments. Added some rock lights to the buggy so the engine area lights up at night...

    Dune closures

It would be worthwhile to at least attempt a fight to open a 1/8 mile-wide strip from sand highway to patton - and argue it's a life-safety issue. That would accomplish two things - give people a nice large "circle" to ride in and avoid that long closure strip along the highway, and honestly...

    Camp Lights

Happy to see I'm not the only one that hates camp lights. Get chit done during the day and go inside your rig at night if you need a light...Camping at night is about campfires and hanging out with friends. If you need a personal light, wear a head light.

Race Radios - School Me - Music Quality

I ride with headphones - always...I like music when I'm driving...relaxes me, etc. I also like that it muffles the sound a bit, but not enough that I can't hear the engine. Every year I walk buy the PCI and Rugged booths at the SSSS and think about pulling the trigger - allowing me to have the...

Sand rail or SXS or dual sport?

Given this is a Glamis dunes / sand forum - I'll take a lightweight sand car with HP over a sxs or dual sport any day. But if I lived in Havasu and did not do the dunes much and did more hardpack - it would be hard to beat a SXS...over the counter parts, street legal, small, great suspension.
