Got a new sumptin sumptin to build

They say not to mix and match, but that is more of a statement about doing it blindly. This is because there are 2 different "AR10" patters. https://www.80percentarms.com/blog/dpms-vs-armalite-ar-10-lr-308-pattern-differences/

    IDing a Honda J35 A3 or A4

The intake is the typical easy way to ID all the first gen engines. Second would be pulling a valve cover and looking at the cam/rocker set up. The early engines only had two intake rockers. The later ones had three.

    Tool Talk

I 100% agree with everything in this post. I probably have (what it would cost to replace today..) 75k in Snap-on stuff. I won't buy another piece from them though. The ICON line up from HF is awesome. If I handed you one of my Snap-on wrenches and the same ICON unit, you wouldn't be able...

The only sensor that is on the intake is the intake air temp sensor.

People will typically remove the baffles if they are going to powder coat them. Media from the blasting will get trapped in them.

    Generators

The company I used to work for sold equipment with the vertical shaft version, GXV390. It would run at 100% load 100% of the time. So much so that we had to cheat the monitored test to get is certified by Honda for the application. It would just barely overheat the oil. Never one stuck...

    Tune-able j35a4 ecu options???

Infinity is also no longer an option. Holley completely neutered AEM ecu lineup. MegaSquirt doesn't make a PNP option. I'm a fan of FuelTech.

ASSuming this is a rear engine application with the pulley side of the engine higher than the bellhousing side..?.. The pump pick up and the the dipstick are both on the uphill side of the engine now. I'd fill it to "full" on the stick. You might get a bit of aeration from windage, but that...
