    Rear hub upgrade

Personally, I think midboards suck for maintenance. I have the rbp super 99 microstub kit. He uses dana 60 unit bearings, and turns the wheel flange down. I figure if they an hold up the front end of a 1 ton truck, on 37" tires, pulling a 40' toy hauler, I'm probably ok. Plus it may be a far...

Whats it worth? 4 seat sandcar chassis

Well I may have found a 2 seat chassis, so I'm curious what mine is worth. It started out as a sandwinder but gas been highly modified and beefed up. Will be pretty complete, minus engine, trans, seats, and wheels/tires. It's tabbed for a ls/s4. King shocks and bypass all 4 corners, rbp super 99...

    Driving tips- ls1/s4

Don't be afraid of the rpm. Mine is typically 3500-5500 on a good run. Also, like other people have said, cross over the peak on the dune like a lane change, very shallow angle. If you can, follow someone with experience, it will pay off big time. If my junk wasn't broken currently, I would...

    Changing out shortstar

The shortstar, and the popular hands j35a4 are both getting hard to find due to being out of production for many years. I had a j35a4, and 2 friends the shortstar. We are all in the ls camp now. Much easier to get, and much easier to get parts. Especially if you decide that you want more power...

    Help needed evaluating sand rail

What city is the located in? This site has members everywhere, maybe someone could come look at it and identify what's on it. Different components can have a big effect on price.

    Camlock Harnesses

I have what are you are looking for. Corbeau makes them. A word of advice, take the cam lock apart when you buy them and clean all the grease out. Re lube with dry graphite, or some type of dry lube. They are a bitch with the grease, sand sticks in them. After cleaning and dry lube they are awesome.

    Ruts are killing me!

Making a light car handle the chatter and ruts is definitely not impossible, my last car was a small relatively lights car. When I purchased it, the suspension was horrible through the chatter. Keep messing with the flutter stack. It took me a few times to get it right, but again, it's...

Bad rv fire tonight. Pad 2

Jeezus. It's hard to imagine that was a toy hauler, there is next to nothing left. That is scary. I think about fire danger quite often, it was a huge deciding factor in going to a residential fridge. This was started at the battery compartment tho, so I wonder what went wrong? I doubt there...

    STOLEN from Palm Desert area

That sucks. Big time.... sorry to hear. Stuff out there ends up in desert hot springs, or down in coachella. Hot spots for douche bags. I'm always looking at parts for sale, if I see anything I will post back on here

    Getting stuck is a problem

I will never dune alone, maybe a quick trip to vendors, and I'm very chill about it. I don't think it's ever a good idea to dune alone, too many possibilities of breaking down, crashing, or getting stuck... But for your question, you can strap a few of those traction boards to your car for when...

    SHOCK EXPERT HELP

I don't know how the numbers work on fox shims, I've always run king. But start by putting a small diameter shim between the largest and 2nd one down, on the comp side only. You can adjust how it reacts by changing the diameter and thickness of the small shim. I usually start with a .008 or .010...

    SHOCK EXPERT HELP

I always do, bypass tube are position sensitive, flutter stack is velocity sensitive. Flutter stack is the only way I've found to make the chop/washboard better. The shock tuning needs to be good everywhere else first tho, Flutter stack should be the last thing you do.

Got back in to RC cars

I was big into r/c racing as a kid, had a rc10T3 the week it came out. Once I got a driver's license and got into real cars it slowly faded out. Have a few other misc cars over the years, rock crawler, and a drone too. A few years back I got a arrma mojave 6s. Holy shit that thing is fast. 60+...

Sand Car Security In Dunes- What Do You Do?

At camp I cable my car to the moho, directly under my bedroom window, and I have a very stout lock that goes through the brake rotor, makes it slightly more difficult when the tire won't spin. At vendors or the store we usually have 1 person that stays with the cars, If we are eating I try to...
