    Fresh air helmets

I've been running Pyrotect Sportmax (like Kazuaki posted) for the past season but with side air. I overall really like the helmet, but with the side air, when I look left, my hose hits my seat and makes turning my head more difficult. So I will be switching to the "mid air" which is the offset...

    Alumicraft Filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Yep. Essentially nothing will change. Just who owns it on paper, which is still in the family If I'm correct about the bankruptcy, literally nothing will change. Same family ownership, just less liabilities.

    Alumicraft Filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Here's the catch I noticed in the bankruptcy. Matt Fleming (new owner of Alumicraft) "leant" the business money subject to lien. It also states his son Tristan owns 100% of Alumicraft currently. So If Alumicraft files for bankruptcy, the lien would indicate that Matt Fleming (dad) would now own...

From Gordon's to Parker and Back

The route we took back would be great. "The good, the bad, the ugly" I would not suggest in a full size truck like a raptor. Especially if you like the paint. The jeeps (assuming they are not stock) would probably do alright depending on what's been done to them.

From Gordon's to Parker and Back

You'll do just fine. It's a rough section, but if you pick where you land your tires correctly, it's very doable for a standard width (Sub 90") wide vehicle with 4x4 and capable tires. My buggy hated it cuz it's 92" wide and I have a clutch. But the SxS and the Jeep we were with cruised right...

From Gordon's to Parker and Back

For the dunes, a SxS would not be on the top of my list of vehicles to own. But on these dirt trips, they are without a doubt some of the most versatile vehicles. They'll go anywhere and do just about anything. From rock crawling, to cruising, they are just all around fantastic vehicles. We had...

    Paddle Tire Choice - Stock Honda 3.5 - Small 2 Seat - 2D

Yea, they look and work great. But I snapped a combo spindle with 10.75s. So I would hesitate to go to that size. To each there own. Plenty of guys running a 10.75 with combos

From Gordon's to Parker and Back

No we jumped over the freeway at the pilot, stayed on the AZ side and took the dike road that parallels the colorado on the AZ side down to the same crossing in Cibola/Paymaster Landing we came across and then jumped back over to the CA side

From Gordon's to Parker and Back

Last weekend we made the trek from Duner's Diner in Gordon's Well Sand Dunes to Parker to watch the 500, stayed the weekend, then made the trek back. Thought I'd share some photos of the experience. The concept started from a late uncle of one of the guys in the group who lived in Yuma and...

    Brenthel Sandcars

After smoking my clutch in Parker this weekend, I don't think I'll ever not have a torque converter either. But for a dune specific car, completely makes sense.

Temp On-Road permit for Buggy in Arizona?

Yes, but unfortunately I can't purchase one on their site without an AZ drivers license. I have to physically go in, and I will have to drive the vehicle on roads before I can physically go in. Was hoping to get something online before I get there. Also sounds like that’s only available if the...

Temp On-Road permit for Buggy in Arizona?

We will be in Parker for the 500 next week/weekend. Where we are storing the vehicles has a section of on-road that needs to be accessed. My buggy only has California OHV registration. I know I can buy a temp AZ OHV permit, but has anyone navigated getting a temp ON-road permit for a CA...

That door has to be 500 lbs now. Do you have a winch to help pick it up?

    Weekend Warrior Ramp Door Pix

Mine blew through the frame last season. It didn't have steel or aluminum reinforcement, just the small 2x2 wood. I got the door back in place and reinforced it by welding angle iron the length of the sides on the interior of the door, then through bolting to a flat plate on the exterior to...

    Stuck CV - Or Trans?

Did he check that the clip was still on when he removed the CVs? That happened to my pops over New Years twice. His limit straps had fatigued enough that when his rear wheels came off the ground, the inside clip would blow off the backside of the axel and the inner CV would bind and the wheel...

    Which CV grease to use?

Oh yes, thanks for reminding me about my favorite thread once again. I will be switching to a mixture of Vaseline and KY Jelly for the back half of the season. Will post results after prerunning the Glamis 1000

    Which impact do you prefer

I was a hater until I got my first stack to see if it made my packing for the dunes easier. It 100% is a game changer. And now in my garage I have a packout section so I can keep my tools mobile.
