I've run outboards since 2004. Never had sand in the outer boot. Outboards have huge bearings.

I cerakote the bodies and powder the springs. Springs hold up fine. After 2 seasons, the cerakote is getting pretty thin in spots. But I follow close. :)

Every builder sets their cars up different. My builder uses 1-2 degrees negative for both camber and caster.

Brushless fans are the latest rage. Weld a bung in the radiator and they adjust speed to maintain temp. No switch from anywhere, computer, manual etc.

LS1 with a blower. I never come out of 3rd. Hit the top faster and less angle. If u r stalling it u r going way to slow.

Sean, I have tried preloading my S4, similar to how I did my Fortin, and I can feel "something" in the shifter. Or is your definition of preloading different? IMO, preloading is where u are actually pulling back on the shifter and removing the "neutral" position of the shifter, if that makes sense?

When I had my Fortin wide gear, straight cut gears so no shifting required, even though it was a H pattern, I never clutched when shifting up or down. With my S4, I don't clutch shifting up, but I do clutch shifting down. I find in high RPMs, even shifting up, I better be right on my timing or...
