For the motor, not the VFD :)

Variable Speed Electric Motor / Voltage Regulator

Can you show the schematic for (assumption since I see amps drop, 20X voltage, and the single phase hookup shows waaaay too many inputs and lines for a single phase only motor) 3ph hookup? It's possible the capacitor is used in single phase only to help with startup current. 3ph usually...

Variable Speed Electric Motor / Voltage Regulator

A capacitor start motor is designed to use the capacitor to fill the inrush current until the motor achieves full speed. Running it with a VFD will cause that capacitor to overheat.

Variable Speed Electric Motor / Voltage Regulator

Based on the partial wiring schematic pictured, I think that's going to do the same thing as the controller you already bought. It appears there's a 3ph hookup schematic off the picture to the right. If so, a single phase AC to 3ph VFD controller would work perfectly. *** EDIT *** NM. That's...

How do People with Black Paint Jobs keep them looking so good?

It won’t make anywhere near 4,000 gallons here in San Diego. We can practically chew our water there’re so many dissolved solids in it. Highly suggest an RO system into a DI system, stored in a tank. RO is far cheaper/gallon (I spend $60/year on consumables for 4 cars and an RV). I posted a...

Understood, but... Then: A 20% throttle cut isn't stopping an engine from revving further. Fuel/spark/complete throttle cuts need to happen for that. For example... If 8k is the upper limit, the above shouldn't happen regardless of clutching.

How do People with Black Paint Jobs keep them looking so good?

Yep. The "3 year" products are so ridiculous to apply, I just don't see the point. It's a microscopic layer of chemical anyway, there's no way it's protecting from much of anything other than the lightest of light swirls. I do like how well SI02 products repel everything. Only bummer is...

How do People with Black Paint Jobs keep them looking so good?

Personally, I'm not a fan of full paint correction on a brand new car. There are a finite number of times you can correct a car, and with how thin today's paint/clearcoat are, plus the low VOC products they use, leave it alone as much as you can, even if there are factory blemishes (not...

Deal of the Week! 2025 F-150

2024 blowout. STX model, so XL trim with some appearance stuff, this F-150 is a hybrid. MSRP was $2k higher, which still doesn't make a huge amount of sense... But, sign of the times?
