Just get some newer Reedy or Hobbywing electronics. My buddy builds a bunch of vintage r/c cars and he puts newer electronics in them.

I am probably going to get one once they are released. Our local tracks in Camarillo and Hotrods would be fun with a 1/10th scale gas truck. What's another r/c car at this point. I think my kid is up to 6 race cars. LOL!

The winds were gusting 50mph or more and it does not take long for a small fire to become a huge fire when you have all that brush around. I could see the smoke from my office in Encino when it started. The wind was strong enough it was making our building make all kinds of noises.

I can tell you from experience of trying to get a sand tire off them it is the biggest pain in the ass. Had to take it to a tire shop and even the machine was having difficulty getting the tire off the bead. It took them several attempts. Most run 10psi or higher so I would not be worried.

Method Grip lock wheels are the best bargain.

Alba makes a nice wheel that weight wise is comparable with Price Design, OMF and the other 3 piece wheels. My friend ran them on his X3 Max. They make a non-beadlock version.

I did not say anything about trucks driving for hours. Ask Cal. Fire why there were safety checks and the Oregon fire department. The news article posted above spells it all out.

Safety checks is a normal thing. It happens every time other states send fire help/equipment. It had nothing to do with a smog check.

The state has a fleet of air tankers and helicopters and the super scoopers are in addition to the fleet the state owns. The super scooper is not the only air water dropping plane used to fight the fires.

Those whoops at the bottom are not worth bombing through. Need to get some trucks and those screens to drag the hill and smooth it out. Even when the wind blows for several days the whoops do not completely go away.

Maybe this administration will take on revamping the Environmental Protection Act and this silliness will stop.

The Canadians lease then during the fire season to the county. Come with the pilots and mechanics to fix them. A lot cheaper to lease them out for the 3-4 months they are needed. They have been here since August.
