Highway Star

Yhis beautiful mustang was on the 15N heading up to Cajon pass on Friday. Me and about 100 other dudes were taking pics. Note the shitty 2 strap tie down job..

Just somewhat of a guess....but, my guess is that the strap is rated at 5K-10K.

Any possibility that it crosses something that has a sharp edge?

DOT requires a minimum 4 point tie down for cars on a trailer (2 front and 2 back) DOT § 393.128 . Looping a single strap or chain through like that only qualifies as a single point tie down. There is an exception that allows a single chain to be looped through if binders are set on each end with a slack chain in the middle where you effectively create two tie down points.
