Gas is gonna get real expensive here.

And yea..... I know there are more bad ass boats.... but damn.... full broadside.... light them phuckers up.

Pulled into Westmorland Friday night and diesel was $5.49, Sunday morning it was $5.99. Total BS

And what is total BS is the fact they say the can't lower the price till the run through the expensive shit!
WTF? You raise prices every damn day, yet takes 2 months to go down???
🖕 Them ALL!!!!
What's really BS is that gas was already paid for by the retailer, well before the Iran war. Nothing but pure price gouging buy the station IMO

Never let a crisis go to waste. Effers used the pandemic to jack up prices on everything and now are using this for gas prices. That being said, as long as Hormuz remains closed, we are effed and it's only going to get worse

Owning a gas station is a pile of compliance for razor thin margins. Most don't make anything on the gasoline from the pump. Prices are based on refill costs that day generally...

Not a fan of high fuel prices, but I'm not mad at the guy who owns the place...

That's the wholesaler. They're assholes...

But they also operate on razor thin margins due to compliance and other crap.

This to me is proof and evidence that we cannot let Iran continue under this regime and why Iran cannot have a large scale military. How crazy is it that a 3rd...maybe 2nd World country has the power to shutdown over 20% of vital shipping in the world.

If I were UAE and Oman, I'd start a joint venture and dig another canal from the Gulf of Oman to the Persian Gulf and say fuck Iran all together.

The coastal part of Oman is mountainous. That would be quite the endeavor.

Or pipelines.

I prepped for this, years ago.

Plus, I work about 7 minutes from home.

We leave the Tundra and the 4runner parked when we do simple tasks and just mob the Civic everywhere. It has a full Alpine/JL/Zapco audio system and the kiddo loves listening to Disney tunes in it...

Those taillights tho... 🤢
🤣

It's paid off, I don't see them and it gets over 30 mpg.

I could give a shit about the tail lights.

With that said... I almost traded it in for one of these after I got my Bonus...

I need to wait until I have a garage. Mice are hitting us hard.

I'm probably gonna buy a 100k mile used hybrid of some sort. They're all pretty decent and the battery refreshes are cheap/easy, so that doesn't scare me much. You can find them all day long for $8k ish.

Chevy Volt is in that criteria, come with some good reviews. I dont own one but they sure seem like the one to have for an older hybrid.

A LOT of my co workers have older Toyota and Honda Hybrids, I don't think any of them are having any issues, no matter the age. I think you're on the right track.

That was a front runner, but I’m in CA. At $0.45-0.60/kwh, it’s just too expensive to “fuel”:

Volt @ $0.45/kWh and 4m/kWh is $0.113/mile

Kia Niro (or similar) @ $5/gallon and 52mpg is $0.0962/mile

Also, the Volt isn't the best candidate for OpenPilot because of steering authority limitations. These things suck to drive, so I’m just gonna have AI do it :ROFLMAO:
