Trade Schools For The Win.

I Sure Could Use A Few in my Company. Have a Job for life! Make plenty of money to raise a family buy a house / car / truck. The more in debt you become the more you'll show up and learn your job. Peace
 
I love trade schools, but I believe most are privately owned, that is the big difference between colleges and trade schools. I think the success rate on both is lower than most I guess. I know a lot of kids that spent $40k on a trade school only to not ever use it.

IMHO, Parents need to do a better job of setting their kids up for success, teach them how to fix their car, or even change a tire. The parents of my generation have been lazy raising their kids. I spent every Saturday working on the house, car or yard growing up. Finances, trades and manors are all learned at home, not by a stranger.

I would suggest a trade to most over a typical college. EXCEPT for automotive. I would bet that most of the fellas here that are in the line of work are not happy, but feel trapped by the money.

As most here know, I started life as a tech with Honda/Acura. Quickly hated it, and was killing my passion for working on cars. Took me 10 years to get out.

I'm no longer in the auto biz, but my knowledge and experience from it helped me move to something else.
