Voting Rights…

There needs to be an IQ test before you can vote....don't pay taxes??? Can't vote on tax increases.
i know there are grey areas in this statement but in general.
if someone is on government assistance they should have to suspend their vote. look at the way one side campaigns its free this free that. state of CA has a very large percent of the population that relies on government to live. they can sway the vote easily why should they be allowed to vote for more free stuff at the expense of the ones who pay for that free stuff.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."

The first step in “fixing” anything is returning to our original “part time” legislature where elected officials are paid a per diem to meet quarterly or “as needed” to legislate. Politics was not meant to be a career.
And no corporate/union/entity campaign contributions. Personal contributions only. Limit the amounts.
