Meh, AB 742 creates the California Department of Slavery Certification tasked with identifying descendants of slaves to give them preferential treatment in California programs. Enjoy!
 
Can't wait to get out of this state.... Move to Idaho and get some common sense progressives elected to office.

i dont even think the so called independent committee is even independent.
first time the committee redrew the lines the district split remained the same. now after this redraw republicans had one of their best turn outs. votes for republicans were up alot, even in deep blue LA county trump was up 7 points from 2020. 10 counties flipped to red. harris got 3 million less votes than biden did yet republicans still lost half of the districts they had before the vote went from 19 to 9. also add some of those were won by the dems 2-4 weeks after election was over.
i live in the palm springs area, why would our small area be split into two, im in la quinta and my district is with north orange county.
im sure this will pass, people are stupid and do as they are told. just look back to the gas tax/dmv fee increase that people voted yes on because the dems worded it weird and told them it was good.
i have very little trust in a fair election in CA
side note i think the one thing that can fix alot of this crap is not allowing non citizens to be counted in the census.
