Sway bar Question

I am being told by the fabricator, that it is not necessary to add a sway bar to my SCU. The theory that they are telling me, is that it will cause the car to walk during a wheelie.
Drag racers use the sway bar to make a car drive straight under massive torque…

My opinion is with good shock tuning, it’s not necessary. You’re not a TT swinging 36 inches of travel in the rear.

Nope.
Have had a sway bar since 2007 and been wheeling for that long.
Never had that issue.

I'd have them add it anyway. If you don't like it, you can leave it disconnected. My mid engine car used to walk during wheelies until I got the shocks tuned properly.

I put a 1-1/8" solid speedway bar on mine years ago and love it. Changed the way the car handles. It used to hang the inside wheel on turns in the dunes...now it slides like a quad. It does make the cross chop a little worse but worth it for me. I could probably have done a hollow bar though. Never had any breakage or cracking related to the sway bar but i overbuild everything. I welded tabs on the chassis and sway bar tube so it's removeable. I had a full build thread on here before the site crashed. I ran the sway bar arms the same direction as the trailing arms.

I am in the process of a new to me build and I was also considering adding a rear sway bar. I haven’t fully decided yet I am building a DD four seater. You see all Tatum and I believe Funco come std with them. Any thoughts??

IMO, every car will benefit from one.
Funco is known for sliding and staying flat in turns, and they have sway bars as you stated.
Doesn't that tell you something?
