Speed UTV

and what appears to be a 4cyl

Hot-V with a timing chain front/rear. Weird positioning for the wastegates on the manifold (cyl 1 and 2 don't feed them very well), and needs more flex provisioning to prevent cracking.

I'm assuming it'll be somewhere in the 500hp range on the dyno when posted... Then maybe 300hp real world output.

The heads are cast. Wonder what they originally came off of?.. Block is billet.

So it looks like they are going to be offering a 4 cylinder motor now as an upgrade?

Are people still waiting on cars to be delivered the preordered 3-5 years ago?

Im real curious about the TPMS as i think thats a great idea. But is the valve stem short and out of the way? Is it accurate?

I guess all of LOTD’s Tesla comparisons were apt:

In my neck of the woods, Rivians seem to be populating more and more driveways every day. Nice that they actually work off road. Has anyone done the Rubicon in a Speed UTV ? ? ?

There are a few videos of Rivians being rescued by Trailmater. Seems tie rods are the common failure there too.

Off topic kindof:
The MAX pack in a Rivian is said to have 7,776 cells.....or for reference "D" size batteries in each vehicle.....this will be the new epidemic when they start to go bad....this is why these vehicles are so heavy!!

There aren't enough chase trucks and spare parts available for that!

😁
There’s a helicopter company there though…

My buddy worked for them. That frame is pure beef, but McLaren engineers did the suspension. Guess we’ll see if they’re beefy enough.

Which, it isn’t. Lol.

IFS tie rods don’t like heavy duty wheeling though.
