Illegals

ICE would first have to go into the hood for that to happen.

That doesn't make any sense....hearings are in a Federal location and the homies can't get any weapons in there. ICE is in there w/batons, pepper-spray, and Guns.

I haven't seen actual #'s, but the stuff that I've seen says that ICE is removing a bunch of criminal aliens.

They just arrested 11 Iranians, and some of those were w/former military ties....I want to say in the Atlanta area. New Orleans arrested a rapist.

my friend said his local Home Depot is 100% day worker free, not one person standing anywhere near by

I’m starting to think that the Dems aren’t a rudderless ship playing Frogger with icebergs, they’ve dug massive fortifications on this hill they’ve chosen to die on.
In business and general life experience I’ve learned that the more I think I’m right when confronted with superhuman opposition the more I back up and look for what I’ve missed / holes in my argument.
Will Democrats wear down their opposition, will the people tire of conflict or get bored and choose to return to the comfort of a death by a thousand cuts instead of a quick clean beheading?
I’d like to think we’re seeing the last dying gasp of a movement based on better living via a huge centralized cradle to the grave government but I can’t deny that a platform of “it’s not your fault” is sexy.
“To each according to his ability, to each according to his need” is the pledge of allegiance of Socialism / Communism. The new Socialist are well versed on the second part “to each according to his need” but either don’t know about or understand “to each according to his ability.” Few of today’s Socialist understand that under their nirvana we’d have a government entity tasked with quantifying a worker’s effort and that failure to contribute to the collective would result in punishment / loss of benefit. I wonder how many of the folks sent to reeducation camps would commiserate about the good ole days of oppression by billionaires & corporations instead of connected party comrades tasked with “helping” you become a contributing part of the whole?

While I think it's misguided, I have no problem with this because:

The cash assistance is intended for families directly impacted by the immigration raids. Mayor Bass highlighted the example of a family that faced potential eviction after one of its primary earners was detained by immigration authorities.

The program will be funded through private donations rather than city funds. Immigrant rights organizations, including the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, will handle the distribution of the cash cards.

Which is a-okay with me.

Public funds? Come verga.
