I need to have an ATS (Advanced treatment septic system) installed for an ADU on my parents property. I'll be living in the ADU. The county requires the ATS based on lot size and the existing house with no chance of tying in to the existing septic tank. This is an obscenely expensive system but I don't have another option. The civil engineer who is designing the system originally wanted to go with a JET ATS. He then suggested a newer system made by Jensen called EZ-treat that he believed would be half the cost. The county approves both systems. Jensen has been bending over backwards to answer questions, respond to emails, and will be sending their district rep from Reno to train the installers on the system I live near San Bernardino). I read through marketing, maintenance and install media on both systems and can't find a downside to the Jensen. I've decided to go with the Jensen product based on customer service alone and the design is just about completed. Does anyone have experience with or know reasons why I shouldn't go with the EZ-treat system? Again, this is a $30-$40K cost and while I love the idea of saving money, I don't want to save it now but have to spend more in the future.

This is my septic guy who pumped my tanks only once. Wally +1 (951) 318-5772.
I have no idea if he installs or could give you any help. I think he’s out of lake Elsinore

What County are you in? I bought my Willys truck project from a guy in Lake Elsinore that designs pumps and lift stations for septic systems. He likely has some connections in the field that they can send you to for info. The alternative systems use various pumps, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch.
Pacific Southwest Industries, Owen Richardson.

Thanks bud. This is San Bernardino county, less stringent than Riverside.

Its bullshit they are making you install that system, but California will always find another thing to screw you. I don't have experience with having to install that unit or units similar to it, but I will say Jensen is a great company. I use them all the time for underground structures and I wouldn't hesitate to use their products time and time again. When our subcontractors submit on precast structure products we are always happen when they use Jensen over other companies.
