What's your opinion/take on the efforts of DOGE?

Who cares at this point. I do not see one damn thing actually getting done. It is just a bunch of pass the buck, come up with a new news cycle to detract from the screw ups that Trump is doing.
Where is the proof that the deficit has actually went down 1 red cent? The new budget is going to add what another 3 trillion or some crazy number

No disrespect, but maybe you're watching the wrong news channel.
I watch both left and right leaning news, and it's easy to see who is lying.
And years of theft will take some time to remedy.

No problem, I have very thick skin. I'm referring to the fact that 99% of what he is supposedly clawing back has to be voted on and approved by congress to actually reallocate the money. I want proof that the deficit is actually being reduced. Maybe I am missing something, but do you have any factual links showing reduction in the deficit? What I have seen is the same song and dance stating that the new budget will actually reduce the deficit, and in reality (I hope I am wrong) it is going to increase it significantly.
Trump is full of SH!T on just about everything he promised except deporting Illegal immigrants.
You know where originally Tariffs weren't going to cost the US any significant price increases. Then the message gradually changed to: you have to pay if you want National Security. I understand that, but that is NOT what he campaigned on, and at no time did he state US consumers would be paying higher prices for food, clothing, electronics etc....
I mean come on, really???? Who actually believed that crap.

The deficit is a tragedy. Yes I see him deporting illegals. He also is stopping mystery shrinkage of "allocated funds" to the giant money laundry called USAid. The cries of the
left "Stop" only prove the fraud. He is reducing duplicate people/departments/buildings in an effort to reduce "Current" spending. Again, the left cries, "Stop".
Filing charges against Democrats that hinder deportation, yes, that's under way.
Again, they cry "Stop". It seems the people that are crying may be the ones involved in the fraud. For my part, I didn't get any of that free money. The hunt for fraud is just beginning.
I say, carry on.

I heard that. Trump needed the support from congress, and didn't get it. Musk wanted to
force the changes. Didn't happen. Musk lost millions trying to run DOGE and his other companies. However, the millstone of justice grinds slowly. It's not over yet.

Truth is, nobody actually likes Elon. Notice you haven't seen him around much in last few weeks (President of South Aftrica Oval Office visit aside). He's become politically toxic and shareholders at his companies are holding his feet to the fire. I suspect there is a crisis communication strategy in play that made him step back.

You don't have to "like" someone to respect them. Elon has built an empire. The dude is smart, innovative, risk taker and is at the forefront of breaking technological advancements. If you can't see that, you're just another follower blinded by hate for one man.

Applauding and finding joy in a man's failure to make mankind better and explore where others don't/won't, is Beta male activities. Compare SpaceX's record to NASA's for failures. Elon is killing it!

I am more disappointed that once again....the GOP is fucking it all away by choosing the swamp and lining their pockets instead of codifying and implementing the good work created by DOGE.

I don't usually agree with Mac publicly anymore, but this is most definitely a low IQ, Beta Male statement. I know plenty of Millionaires and highly successful people that love what Elon has done and is doing. Those that don't like him seem to collectively make bad choices in life and rely on others for their survival or success.

I find it ABSOLUTELY hilarious that people like you spend your entire life and a lot of bandwidth here, Idolizing and putting basic ass Musicians on a pedestal... somehow making them seem far more important than they could ever be... while in the same narcissistic breath you belittle someone that puts shit into Space, better than NASA. Liking him is irrelevant. His attempts to cut the waste fraud and abuse are what mattered.
