Panhandle dunes?

The other day, I was headed for San Antone....in Brownfield I saw a RZR, on a trailer, w.paddles on it, front and rear. All I know, was that he turned right and head west. I.ve never heard of any dunes in the area. Are there any dunes near Lubbock and/or Brownfield?

Monahans Sandhills state park, 4700 acres of sand dunes
 
Maybe on the way home from Little Sahara in Oklahoma...only3ish hours form there.
 
Probably going to mescalero sand dunes on 380 over by Roswell
 
I wanted to pull alongside and act like a goober, " Hey where are the dunes at?", but I refrained.

We were going south at Brownfield and 380 goes west and he turned right (west). The Mescalero dunes aren't that far.

Rorschach good catch. I.ve been around the Roswell area, a tiny bit and never heard of it. I don't think that I.ve ever been on that stretch of 380 though.

I.d like to think that most of the people that frequent this forum would take note of a new set of dunes, that they never before.
