It's Saturday May 3rd 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

A week ago I bought two more excavator. I guess I have a fetish. The guy bought a bobcat x337 brand new. Drove it until it broke and parked it, he then bought a new bobcat 337 (2001) and then drove that one until it broke. They have been sitting 10+ years. Tons of issues on both. He had mechanics try for days. No luck. The first one I took to the shop. 8 man hours cleaning it and in two hours I got it working. But still has some major leaks ( shown on hoist) then this AM I went and worked on the other one and in 2 hours got it working too

I'm working on a dash for my buggy today. I'm more than over having a mess of exposed wires going every which way from the radios that are attached to the cross tube with hose clamps. Time for something better.

I got the aluminum for this two piece dash cut out after many hours of size testing different holes and angles. These still need to be bent in a few places, which my son can do for me at his work. The front face will bolt to the buggy and the top/back piece will attach with dzus tabs for access.

Sat: Gym in the am then BB tournament (partially in the rain) yesterday through the afternoon. Then cleaned the rifles and guns, even though I haven't shot them in 3-4 years. Moved a couple of things over to the climate controlled garage then just chilled getting hammered with the wife under the porch watching and listening to a bit of Banda thinking of my mom and pops.

Sun: Gym in the am then continue moving woodworking and landscaping tools and machines over- picked up an ECHO 910 H/T and PAS-2620 with a few different attachments. Got tired of getting nickeled and dimed by the landscaper for minor things. The guy billed me $1,275 for mulching and $670 for pine straw last month. The mulch and pine straw were only $400. He also billed me $1,200 earlier this year for a Spring "clean-up" and $675 for pruning/trimming the pine trees than line my driveway one end and $700 for the bushes that line my driveway on the other. Took them maybe two hours to do. So, I ordered a custom 6x10 trailer with 24" sides to which I can add 2x4 with plywood if needed to haul materials and debris. I have too much hard work ethic in me to pay for things like this. Still not done moving things over though...prolly be another 2 weekends. Ordered storage racks and garage wall shelving to make it all look like one of them fancy IG garages. Also, picked up two fuel storage containers with pumps for the 4-stroke and 2-stroke fuel.

Tomorrow: Prolly take PTO from the gym and work. Contractor is coming to power wash the exterior in preparation for painting the house.

sat, mowed my yard front and back, a customers business, a storage facility,

sun, mowed a new customer grow warehouse, that thing about kicked my A@@, probably spent 3 hours mowing and trimming, (just did it last week also), but all this rain has all these weeds going nuts. I guess whoever built it a couple years ago didn't believe in weed control. got it mowed, and sprayed the whole property with some trimec and preemergent to hopefully kill off the grassy weeds, cut down 2 trees that died, hauled off a bunch of dead shrubs.
a homeless camp has moved in, and sweet jesus they moved in next door in the creek. someone carried a damn couch and a dresser down there on top of the non working mowers, furniture, tents, probably 10 car batteries with solar, huge tarps for tents i guess and clothes everywhere. probably 5-6 people living in the creek. some dudes just layed out on the couch in the sun sleeping, so here i come with my zero turn, throwing up grass everywhere, he never moved lol, blowing grass thru the fence and he just rolls over finally.
tomorrow i'll call the city and see if we can get some help getting them out. suckers cut the fence in 2 spots, hoping to find weed in the dumpsters, but these guys don't leave nothing but dirt lol when they clean them i guess.
I told one guy last week to pass it on, if I find my fence cut again, we are bringing in a forestry mulcher right thru their camp, no notice, no warning, ill grind everything in the damn way.

Wife packed the truck, we're going to spend a week in Parker to prep for summer.
New Mattress for the bed and a few other things.

Vinegar, salt and a few drops of Dawn soap for the problematic weeds.

Those guys hoping to find Weed in the dumpsters... your neck of the woods grows some horrible product (no offense)... they are doing nothing but wasting their time in many ways. I got a job offer to run a facility down in Arkansas... told them to send me pics of the facility and finished product. End result was me laughing harder than I have in a LONG time and I have yet to return their calls.
