MTB'ers on here?

I dabble as well. Sold my 26" Santa Cruz blur years ago. Recently was given a trek superfly 29er. Heading to the bike shop shortly for some suspension rebuild. Maybe get back on the trail here shortly.

Use to Mnt Bike a lot, even ran a couple Cacus Cup races. I don't think my shoulders could take it anymore

Since 2010 or 32yo.

When I was in SoCal, I was shuttling Mt.Wilson 2x a week. I'd also climb up Lower Merrill to Middle Merrill and down Sunset 2x week. Rode all over the San Gabes, SCV, and Santa Monicas. In the Summer, I was riding the Kernville area trails every 3 weeks (stored my TH there).

Here in Knoxville, there isn't much climbing but the trails are flowy, fast, and awesome. I live near a few MTB parks. Windrock is on the national DH tour so you can only imagine how gnarly it is.

There is an up and coming place called Wildside in Gatlingburg that pretty nice too. I enjoy climbing; it's my jam.

57 yrs old Here 🙋🏻 . Haters will hate . Haven’t touched an analog bike for awhile . Been ebiking for 5 years . People say it’s not a work out but you can ride on eco mode and just do more miles .

Example of why e-bikes are nice . A group with different level of riders can all ride together . Some one in our group has been riding for 3 years on an analog and has never experienced cool attractions in the park . His first ride on the ebike we took him place he has never been . He rode in turbo but he was out there and that’s all that mattered .

e bike are so sick. You can't have more fun on anything with two wheels than an emtb. I have a newer SJ but would trade it for a second to get on an e bike. Someday. That day just has to include two so my wife and I can rip together.

I stared riding on high school when I was discovering my own hobbies and hanging with friends. Couple of us still ride together today, just with our kids. Would like to ride more, I am less than a mile from the McDowell Mountain Park trails where I live and can ride from my front door. Just need to do it.

Sounds like something i would like/love.

Like MX in my backyard, there are a ton of trails near me - San Dimas, La Verne, Mt Baldy, etc.

Back in the 90's, I used to ride around Vista... daily. I lived my life on a Haro Group One with 3 piece GT cranks, Powerlight bars, Pitbull brakes... perfect gearing for never having to get off the bike, ever. 1990 - 1993 were amazing years as a kid... Lincoln Jumps, riding to the Record store weekly... I went everywhere in this city.

I had not ridden a bike since I got my license in 1995. Fast forward to 2017 when I left the Cannabis company I started (Canndescent), Crusty invited me on another Yosemite trip with the fam and I picked up another Haro (Flightline) to run around the park. I used to spend all of my money at Alpha Bikes and when I walked in 25 years later, the owner remembered me and gave me a 50% discount on the new bike. Being a BMX guy, full suspension is not my thing and I prefer hard tails. Since then, I have taken it to some very fun locations and I TRY to put some miles on it every month... but the last two years as a new Father have limited that. I have been very lucky to live in rural areas that allow riding right outside of my front door.

Yosemite 2017...
