They are coming to SOCAL soon with Los Lobos....debating to go.

At a certain point you start to realize everyone you know is now dying, or getting too old for the shit you loved/loved them for.

Yeah, but it's just a part of having more of yore life behind you then in front of you. I always tell friends to go see the old bands who still tour (as long as they still have og members) because they played on the records we all know and love. Years ago, I had an extra ticket to the Who and took a friend who didn't even know their music and he was blown away by them and became an instant fan.

Anyway, keeping with our theme RIP Mike Peters of the Alarm passed today. Here he is with LA Legend and celebrity hat maker Charlie Overbey:

Literally... the most overrated band of that era. In my 46 years on this planet, I have never seen one reason this band is as popular as it is. The notoriety they get for their "Guitar tuning" sound was used 30-40 years prior to them in a variety of other Genres and a boat load of music before them was far more "experimental" than SY gets coined for. And Kim Gordon's vocals... gimme nails on a chalkboard instead, please.

🤣 I never said I had to like it. My apologies if I dissed your teenage angst activities. Music IS subjective... and my SUBJECTIVE opinion is that band sucks and doesn't deserve near the credit they somehow received.
