Daytona Bike Week - Here we come

A group of us are riding out starting tomorrow. Going to stop in NOLA for Fat Tuesday on the way. Any tips on things to see / do are much appreciated. Will post pics as time permits.

Left Florida this morning headed North into Georgia. Caught a decent amount of rain along the way. It sure felt cold after 4 days of sunny Florida. Going to ride Tail of the Dragon and Cherohola Skyway tomorrow. 20250309_124850.jpg
 
Unfortunately it was raining and we decided to skip going out of the way to ride them in the rain. Will probably regret it later as I may never get back there again.

Buddy was sick and we were heading to his brothers in Tennessee. He was going to ship his bike and fly home. I split up from the others to make sure he arrived safely. Spent 2 days in Tennessee checking out Nashville and surrounding areas. Cool place.
 
Decided Weds morning to join up with the others who were going to be in Scottsdale by Thursday. Jumped on the bike Weds around 9am and rode almost 1000 miles to Amarillo TX. Spent the night and hit it again in the morning. Went out of the way but determined to get my pictures in Winslow AZ. I paid for it as I caught snow / rain getting to Scottsdale from there. Met up with the others for drinks/dinner in Cave Creek. We left in the morning for home with a detour in Glamis. My buddies new Funco was going to be there getting tested by Grant before final delivery. Arrived there to discover they had a steering issue so he wasn't able to drive it. Back on the road and started to hit rain at Cabazon. Pulled into Morongo Casino for the evening. Escaped the rain and finished the ride home yesterday. Overall had a great trip. Bummed my buddy got sick as we planned to stay out longer than the others and hit some of the famous rides. Oh well, we all made it home safely. That's the most important part.
