Heard of and met them on my first trip to NYC in 1989 at age 20. Was lucky to have friends who traveled in the Daniel Rey / Handsome Dick Manitoba circles and they knew them. Great band. Also met the folks from White Zombie on the same trip. Good time to be alive
 
David Johansen, the singer and last surviving member of the New York Dolls has passed away at age 75 Fuck cancer
