Anything is possible but it will end up narrow and a sandtire wants to be wide and float not dig.Hey guys i have some 5.5 inch wide methods that i want to mount some 12 inch wide dezert masters. Can it be done?

I suppose you could air them down to have a better footprint?I had a '76 Chevy PU oncst....it came w/5.5" wide rims. I ran 31/10.5-15s on them. They were a squeeze. Once of the deals to look for is the height above the rim. If you have more sidewall than those 31" tire, things could work in your favor. My tread area was not distorted.
I'm not sure that I could have run a wider tire.
This is the way! That’s how I do it with my 33x15 sand tires unlimited on 7” wide wheels.Ok update. I was told that “there was no way” i could mount any tire wider than 10.5 on a 5” wheel. Well i mounted some 12.5 and all it took was 4 all threads, 4 nuts and a little bit of time. Im sure i can get a 12” wide paddle and maybe even a 15” wide.
Damn, I didn't think it could be done either. I had a "hell of a time" mounting 10.5's on a 5" wide.I can get more this weekend
So i had some 12.5 wide tires laying around and pretty much wanted to see if it was possible or not. Also 33x12.5 is way easier to find that 33x10.5What is the reason for mounting on such a narrow wheel?
