Lots of blow by and low oil pressure ..looking for another shortstar , hard to find.
Best recommendation for changing to Honda V6 or a place to find a shortstar TIA

Honda is always a solid option. Not sure if anyone services or builds short stars

I done about 10 honda, subi, swaps all to a Aluminum Factory LS, every customer said it was the best thing they ever did, one or two was dead set on selling the car, then did the swap and still own the car for over 5 years, even did a VW to a LS,

Aluminum LS with aluminum everything is close to a Honda weight, if the motor stays stock Holley has a factory tune that works perfect,
I typically, take a factory Aluminum Gen V change the oil pan to a F body, change the Balancer to aluminum, change the oil pump and timing chain, add a set of LS3 Valve springs and seals,

Most of the time, Motor with lower miles, new, water pump billet brackets, Springs, seals, oil pump, chain, F body pan, holley, Adapter plate with Clutch for 2D, and ls3 intake
Will need headers,
$5600 ready to run,

Sounds like a sweet setup

thank you, i will look into the LS swap then. I know you can find LS motors easier

Can't swap to an LS without redoing the back of my car , measured an LS it's approx 27" long , my car is 23" in engine area.
Thanks for the suggestion, so I'm back to looking for another shortstar !

The shortstar, and the popular hands j35a4 are both getting hard to find due to being out of production for many years. I had a j35a4, and 2 friends the shortstar. We are all in the ls camp now. Much easier to get, and much easier to get parts. Especially if you decide that you want more power later down the road. It may be worthwhile to extend the rear cage. It's not that difficult, or expensive. Just my $.02

more power, although would be fine, it's not necessary. at some point i will.
Cost and time the car is down would hurt, so ill run it till it drops and save for the swap

C5 accessories will be 24" at the crank pulley. 27" is at the water pump, which may poke through your engine cage.

Either way it goes, you're going to need fab work for new mounts, water lines, etc.

thank you everyone for your help, im gonna run it till it drops and save for a swap in the mean time
