Have you watched "Adolescence" on Netflix?

The District that my wife teaches in is 90%+ Hispanic. My wife is Caucasian, but happens to be bilingual (lived in Uruguay for a couple of years when she was a kid, there existed no bilingual education there, so she had to learn Spanish, imagine that). But being bilingual has always given her...

Have you watched "Adolescence" on Netflix?

Definitely him in the video, definitely him doing the stabbing. The kids was nothing but a lying POS, killed this girl because she wouldn't go to the fair with him, and he was rejected and embarrassed. So, what made him this way, a fragile homicidal maniac? Parents weren't perfect (but who...

Have you watched "Adolescence" on Netflix?

Awesome, it sure seems like you are doing all that you can do to get him started on solid footing. Sounds like you may have a future athlete on your hands. That was what my son was from age 5 through high school. I could literally write a book about what NOT to do when navigating the All...

Have you watched "Adolescence" on Netflix?

Watched it over the weekend, one of the heaviest, most heart-wrenching things that I've seen in a while. I have two really great, well adjusted kids now in their mid 20's. When I reflect back on myself as a parent, I believe that my children are doing so well not because of me as a father, but...

Padres Road to the World Series

He's definitely struggling, that's for sure. Would bet he's never had anything but success, so anything but that is a shock to the system. Pitching in front of four decks is obviously a pretty big jump. He'll be fine, the bones are there (good velocity, great movement). I would move him to be...

    Optic for Truck gun

I have several of the Holosun red dots (for rifles, not pistols). The all have the "shake awake" feature, such that the dot shows up automatically when you pick up the weapon. When sitting, it automatically turns off. With a lithium in there, you would think a LONG battery life could be had...

    Optic for Truck gun

I have the Vortex 5x prism sight. Also added a simple Vortex red dot to the top of it for 1x duty. The prism is an etched reticle with holdovers, so its still usable should there be a battery issue. If I had it to do over, I probably would have gone with the 3x instead of the 5x. YMMV.

Me too. That guy HATES sitting out (a real throw-back to a bygone era). And rib/tissue around the rib injuries can take forever to heal.

Padres Road to the World Series

I think the record of 116 wins in a season is in play. No weaknesses to speak of (except maybe Mookie playing SS) IF they stay healthy, which is a big if. Got up early and watched a few innings of each of the games in Japan. Those fans are sure different, they are deathly quiet like a tennis...

So. Is everyone ok over here???

Been reading that many houses have recently been falling out of escrow due to potential buyers being unable to obtain homeowner's insurance at anything approaching affordable, or can't obtain insurance at all. That was even before all this occurred. So, as a seller, it may soon come to pass...

Just got to go for a ride in a Tesla plaid. Oh and how about an electric X3 or maybe an electric Tatum

Sure does. The investigation afterwards showed he was doing 124 mph (must be a "black box" in Teslas?) at the time of impact. Car basically disintegrated. Hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would do 124 mph on that particular road. Alcohol in system, but well below .08. A real...

Just got to go for a ride in a Tesla plaid. Oh and how about an electric X3 or maybe an electric Tatum

A guy I went to high school with and played football with in high school (along with his wife) were killed a year or so ago when their Tesla Model S Plaid plowed into a tree on a curvy road. He and his wife were both in their early 50's, he had become a very well respected cardiologist in the...

Padres Road to the World Series

Awesome story, thanks for sharing..... My Dad grew up in Montebello and was a lifelong Dodgers fan. We lived in Whittier until I was four, then moved up to the Central Valley. Its tough to be a Dodgers fan up here, 90% of the people are Giants fans. There was one station that would carry the...

Padres Road to the World Series

I watch 50-100 Dodger games per year. Likely watched another 500+ games as my son was going through his own baseball journey. Last night, saw multiple things that I had never seen before. Baseball is funny that way, you can't just run out the clock. Kind of relieved its over, the last three...

Padres Road to the World Series

The outcome was kind of expected given that the Dodgers were throwing Casparius, Knack and Honeywell. It was discouraging that Hudson and Honeywell were as awful as they were, they didn't even give us a chance. Hate to start having the Yankees get confident at the plate, but the thinness of the...
