I had my buggy stolen back in 1999. Thieves stripped it and dumped it a few washes down from where I was camped. Since then, I have always kept my shit locked up.
Funny story:
I had some firewood and a Christmas tree stolen from camp once. I followed the trail in the sand to a camp 100 yards...
Oil cooler is on my priority list for the off season. I always had an oil temp gauge on my VW engines since that was the only fluid to worry about. Makes sense to keep it cool on the LS as well, especially with turbos.
Anyone using the Holley harness? I see there are some connections not used in sand cars, but overall would the Holley harness be a good buy? Maybe go with the CBM harness?
The terminator will do data logging on the little 3.5 through an SD card but they also came out with a blue tooth setup that will allow you to data log with your phone.
I'm looking at pulling mu FAST XFI system out of my car and going with a Holley. As far as I can tell by digging around, the Terminator will do all I need and more. Is there any benefit to running the Dominator or the HP in a sand car?
I'm in Riverside County. Just outside of city limits so the county oversees my area. I didn't pull permits for it, but I used all the proper setbacks and anchoring so I could if something came up. We actually had code enforcement roll through my neighborhood and ding 3-4 of my neighbors for...
I built my 24x40 to keep the boat covered. It has been great, but if I had the money, I would have loved a stick building on a foundation. I paid around $13k for the building though. A garage the same size would have been $100k+
Yes. I was told the same thing when I tried taking my old car to a CHP office outside of the county I live in. I still have to get the car I have now transferred from the previous owner AZ title as well. I just haven't had the car running long enough to bother...
The car slid good. No turn brake, and only rear brake on that car. I was able to initiate a slide with a tap of the brake pedal. I had tried several different tires on the 12" wheel before getting a hold of the 10" wheels. I was real happy with that combo.
I ran the 13 plus paddles on a 10" wheel and an 091. The narrow wheel made the tire a little taller. It worked really well, and never had issues with the trans.
Kind of how we roll. We usually start a ride from the washes to Olds. Quick stop at Olds to make sure all the equipment is good. Then we roll out with a general idea of where we're heading. No real set point. Our stops tend to be somewhere that just looks amazing. If we end up at swing set...
