This reminds me of what Mitsubishi did with their evo 9. So many people were launching their evo 8’s at 6k in first gear and were breaking shit and making warranty claims. So for the 9 they limited the revs to 3k so it would limit the amount of damage.
Looking for low profile boot clamps as the ones that I have purchased from Kartek in the past do not clear the trailing arm. I bought the band kit and tool from empi but wondering if there is a better option out there?
Slow but steady progress. Motor is 90% finished and finally got the rear arms all mounted with new bushings, heims and bolts. Next is the cumbersome job of aligning them.
I follow the Jeep thread on Reddit and it looks like there are a ton of reliability issues with them. Personally I would only buy one brand new with a nice OEM warranty behind it.
