I'm probably the last guy still using a corded impact. Time to get a cordless but looking for something that works well in the garage and desert.
From quick searches it seems the Milwaukee fuel, Dewalt Max, and Makita seem to be the go-to!
Any feedback between the three or any other good ones...
We were on pad 2 over Thanksgiving and I had my little Honda 2000 out along the back of my RV. The way it was sitting it didn't look locked. I came out to it in the morning pulled out and there were footprints from the road to the generator. Luckily the cable stopped it so it wasn't stolen...
We go every year! Definitely has become a bit more expensive but always a blast.
I will say I noticed specifically this past year the level of service and treatment was much better than a few years prior.
Possibly they are turning it up due to a popularity decline.
I think the process changed a few years back due to CARB requirements. In the past CHP would take the car in the back and assign the vin after reviewing receipts. I think they now require a copy of the CARB cert too.
I have seen door pricing all over the yard. May be time to paint and replace the glass to update the look you're going for instead.
I had a great door guy for years, but he has recently retired. I recently had a 42" x 96" door completed for about 4K.
I buy new or from people I trust for peace of mind. When I buy used and do not know the person, I offer less to hopefully offset the risk. If I buy something where someone "claims" it was rebuilt I ask for documentation and follow up with the builder to verify. I think the small claims threat is...
