Yeah mine did too, recovered without a scratch. Then Toyota wrecked it when they were putting interior back in it and a new ignition. I got paid out twice and sold it. Worked out well. Bought an s10 blazer sold it quickly afterwards, then bought a 911, then bought a Toyota truck that I lifted to go to GlamisIn 1984-87, I had a 1980 Chevy Luv. Lowered with 60 series Yoko tires, 60 series was pretty thin back then. Took my MC to the track (Indian Dunes RIP) and rode all of the time. Most of my friends had lifted Toyotas, but that was out of my budget. Truck got stolen in 1987, never saw it again.
My brother got My Mom's 1981 Toyota LONG BED 4x4 in High School, tossed a 7" Skyjacker lift on that biotch with some Alcoas and 35's. Stock gearing. Matching Camper Shell and Carpet kit.Nope, back then it was an '82 Toyota PU 4X4 with 22R 4 cylinder motor, manual trans. Snug-top Shell and carpet kit in back.
3" Body lift on 33's and stock gearing LOL.....Loved my first truck
