I am putting more effort into my YouTube channel this year and am curious what to focus on.

For the past few years its just been a place to house my dune runs, but over time its evolving into a channel to highlight Different Sandcars. I plan on doing more Sandcar Showcase videos like the recent one with Fast Kenny and his Alumicraft. I am drawn to do those for the main purpose that there are many people that want to know what certain cars are like and likely wont get the chance to drive them or possibly be in one. Ive been fortunate enough to drive a huge variety of cars over the years and would love to share what Ive learned and what I feel different in each car, so that wont change, it will be something I try to get better at and do more of to help get more sandcar info out there.

I am curious though from this forum and group of people, whats the stuff you want to see? what kind of content do you like and check back for?

I say keep them short and to the point. Sitting around for 12-18 minutes as people roll thru the dunes can get a little  to the people who are just scrolling thru the Tube. 3-4 minutes of transitions, wheelies, suspensions working and sand flying. Maybe a voice over of the car you're watching, Think White Zombie and White Sunshine.
The ones that have the drone footage I think have the best translation to size and scope of the dunes.

My all-time favorite video was a first person POV of a rail rolling thru the dunes at a pretty good clip. About the time the guy got to the top of olds and you knew it ( The ruts give it away) well the guy heads straight for the crest of this big dune but you're not in the old car, your POV is a drone and he launches that thing off the top of Olds and you think holy shit until you realize its a drone. It was the perfect edit, made my butt pucker up

I really like your idea of sandcar showcasing. I really Liked your fast Kenny video. Another cool thing would be showcasing stacker trailers or optioned out enclosed trailers to see options that are out there. Kind of like rving with Andrew Steels YouTube channel.

Requested it on your channel: need a walk around of that mid-travel Mazzone

Overall: best shots are low to the rear, or mid-level with the driver in the shot. Gives you a better idea on what’s happening and the speed.

The "ADHD" mentality requires a tight edit.
Size matters in porn, yet they edit it down.

A quick walk around of the car explaining most hardware and running gear. Maybe I see something on your car in the video but don’t know what it is called or who makes it. The sound of the exhaust beats any song. I can find music on my own. A forward facing camera is more pleasant to watch than a rear facing. I sit around at work enough so no desire to watch lengthy breaks.

With Aerosmith soundtrack?? If so, that's my favorite as well.

Yep, no music is best.

Getting the GoPro to not pick up all the chassis sounds, however, is hard.

Great feedback. The music vs Raw sound is always a good debate.
Ill focus on more walk arounds and info on the cars as well

@Rockwood Ill get a walk around of the LT Mazzone this season. Thats a great car, still one of the best cars Ive driven.. I just wish it wasnt so fragile. That car begs to be duned fast and is amazing at speed but at this point its a piece of history and a true unicorn.. its already been under the knife a few times just for repairs and all from mild driving...

Yeah. Father in law drives a beam/A arm Mazzone. Amazing car the first and last weekends of the season. New Years after a rain…? Fuck that. :ROFLMAO:
