I need new tires on my 06 Duramax. 285/70/17s. Where's everyone going to for tires these days? I'm not brand loyal. Just a good all-terrain, preferably quiet on the highway.

I can tell you that Nitto Ridge Grapplers suck donkey dik!, another 20k miles and tires are separating for the 3rd time. Sure the tire warranty covers them but its a big PITA.

BFG KO2's (C rated) on my 4runner.

BFG KO3's on the Tundra (bigger and heavier than the KO2's) but I love them.

Had Nitto Terra Grappler G2's on the Tundra before the BFG's... they were good as well (50k miles). Would have used the same again except I got caught in the middle of the redesign/unavailability window.

BFG's are better for snow, which is what both trucks are used in these days.

Michelin M/S for me nice and quiet on the highway and so far they do well enough off-road. For me I don't get the millage out of them before the sun destroys them so I can't tell you what kind of millage I get but I have never replaced one because I wore it out.

Here in Havasu...Tire Man is the place to go. Best prices, fast service. Nick runs a great business with no BS there. For example, A few years ago I was putting new tires on my old TH to sell it... I walked in...give me 6 tires. I was paid and back on the road in under 30 minutes. He had 4-5 guys on it working both sides at once. Pretty impressive.

For brands...I have always been a BFG fan. I absolutely HATE Goodyear. Absolutely the biggest POS tires for off-road ever made...and...every new truck seems to come with them.

With that said...I've noticed BFGs just aren't giving me the performance and life that they used to. I'm 90% sure I'm going to switch to Toyo Open Countrys for my next set. (I'm actually due and need to get this done). I really only use my truck to launch and recover my boat these days and put less than 5000 miles a year on it. Definitely want a little more aggressive tread. I'm also considering going to a 20in wheel up to 35s. This will require a small lift (3-4inch). If I go with a lift, I'll go with Cognito and Fox shocks, with their Comfort Ride torsion bars.

Any recommendations for a 2019 Chevy 2500HD 4x4?

If you're on a budget check out Radar Renegades. They're made in Thailand. I had great luck with them on my F250 Super Duty.

Always been a Toyo guy have 37” RT Trails on my truck now and love them as far as a tire shop I’ve always gone to Tucker Tire in Covina but after moving to Wrightwood been going to Peña’s Tires in Hesperia.

Look into BDS leveling kit Fox bought them out. Upper control arm, torsion key, shocks.

BFG all terrains of any flavor for me. If I had to pick a second, bridgestone dueler A/T Revo 3. I never would have bought em but they came on an F-250 I had and were a good tire.

Toyo at3 rt all I get 50k miles out of
Nitto ridge grapplers 50k miles out of
Falcon wildpeak at, just shy of 50k , but they are great daily driver tires soft over small bumps and reflectors they absorb little stuff really good.

All are great tires, I will say the toyo have the least amount of sidewall flex when towing heavy heavy. But the avg person doesn’t even know what heavy is.

Anyone having issues with above tires, your truck either sucks or you got old stock tires.
Multiple vehicles nearly yearly tires, at 50k and zero complaints on any of above

Toyo Open Country ATs if you want the best tire, followed closely by BFG ATs.

Budget-ish? Falkens work well, as do Hankooks.

And what’s your average speed while towing…? :ROFLMAO:

Vehicle and purpose come into play.

My 2500HD Chevy has had at least 3 sets of 35X12.50R17/10 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 Load Range E and I'm considering the K03...
However my son took over that truck and he doesn't tow anything heavy. We are looking at going to 37's now and he really wants a softer ride.

My Ford Effing Ranger will be on LT265/75R16 (32x10.5 16R) when we Bro-Runner it shortly...Undecided on tires. MT BAJA LEGEND EXP A/T, Toyo Open Country A/T III or we go cheaper route like a Kenda Klever A/T2 KR628. Goal is light weight, would love to put a Tensor Regulator 2 33x10x15 (Pizza Cutter) on this for Glamis....but its also a DD so naw LOL.

I keep going back to the Toyo brand tires.
I shop all the big name stores, online warehouse prices and then call my Chevy dealer. They price match the best price I can find.
