Hey guys so i have a question. For those of you that have gone to rocky point aka puerto peñasco and taken your cars (not sxs) what tires you all run? i have a baja bug with a j35 in it that i will be taking in april but am thinking about tires. I currently run bfg at but idk if i should better go with the STU desert masters. Paddles are out of the question because i dont wanna be switching back and forth. Any help?

Where do you plan on driving?
If around town then the BFG will be good.
You can't ride along the beach anymore
If off road, the Desert Masters might do a tad better then the BFG, but you could air down the BFG and go anywhere off road.

You can't ride the beach....SOB, they've ruined the place. If that is the case, it doesn't really matter as the rest is hard desert.

there are still places you can ride the beach but they are out of town. (none in the sandy beach area) Ive always done fine with my all terrains aired down on the beaches

So im thinking of tesoro (where las cochas end, and la choya are the 2 places that have me
Considering desert masters

Even without the beach or the hill, there is a lot of sand all around town. Would be fun to have some Padla Trax to get a little more bite. If you are not going to be driving a lot on pavement you'd have fun.
I run 37" BFG KR3's at 10psi.... still gotta watch where I stop.
