I have a wood shed on the side of my house that sits on a cement pad. There is evidence of some termite activity.  

I'd like to empty and paint the inside but thought I should at least look at the termite issue first.

Is there a home fogger kit you can use for termites?  I did a search and dis not find anything specifically for them. 

Are there other solutions?  

I don't want to use anything that is going to prevent the paint from good coverage... 

 
You'd have to find a way to trap the termite fog most likely, since those bastages are likely in the eaves, roofing, everything.  

 
Pay to have it professionally treated. They will drill the slab and inject chemical that will kill new ones moving in. 

Also you will need your home treated as well. 

Typically you will need to keep an eye out and have it treated over time as you see new evidence.

It ain't that big I suppose I could tent it with some tarps or sheeting.

16' long, 10.5' at the highest point and 5' deep

I don't remember when we had the house done last.  It was after we built the shed and we tented the whole thing. Probably due....  

How often should a house get tented?

This. Termites have to return to the soil every 24 hours. This creates a block they won't go thru. Ones in building die, new ones won't penetrate.

Yup I had signs in my closet saw a mud tube found them on trim boards for attic entrance removed the boards cleaned up called termite guy  

for 350 he injected the concrete and treated area no sign since. He told me your Home Depot lowes stuff only displaces them to other areas in home. 
 

these were subterranean termites learned quite a bit from him. 

 
Shed’s against your house… Termites are probably your roommates anyway.

Spot treat the wood areas you see them active in, best off replacing wood that has significant activity. 

Dig a Trench and Apply Termiticide around that shed area and anywhere else you see activity.

Only tent if your going to do the entire house and hire a professional. 
 

 
This isn't rocket science at this point. Grab some termite spray like spectracide or another well known brand at home depot or off amazon. Drill a 1/8" hole into the wood where you see evidence of termites at a downward angle so the spray fills the hole and absorbs into the wood. Drill a few holes under and above the area you see the termite holes. Spray and fill the holes with the spray once every couple of days till you stop seeing evidence of termites. I've had multiple instances of termites in my old house and was able to make them disappear quickly each time using this method. 

  If this is a large infestation or you are unable to make the termites disappear, then it's time for some of the other suggestions but for a small infestation, you can easily handle it yourself. 

 
thanks @Fireballsocal.  this shed is FULL of "stuff".  I will really need to empty it before I can figure out how big a problem I got going.  there is no dirt around it, save for what is under the brick walk way & the slab. 

as a general rule, how often should a house be tented?

is there a "maint" for termites where they spray around the property and/or in the attic or something???

I'm not an expert or even all that knowledgeable so I'll defer to people with more experience for expert advice. For my opinion, I don't think you ever need to tent a house unless you have a very large problem. One that can't be dealt with by the homeowner using commercially available products. My parents house, built in 77 has never been tented. My old house, built in '87 and sold in 2021 had never been tented despite having 3 separate small occurrences of termites,  all in different areas of the house. As far as maintenance, I would be leary of any maintenance costs that don't come with a no termite guarantee. If the company offers a guarantee, read it carefully to see what it covers. 

 
I did Termite work for a few short time back in the day.  Spot treatments often aren't enough.   Also depend on if they're subterranean or not.

All of our work had TENTING as the primary recommendation.  Our spot work was a secondary option.

 
The type of termite matters when deciding tenting or soil treatment. 

If you have subterranean termite which is what most in Arizona are then soil treatment. 

If you have dampwood or drywood which don't make mud tubes to the best of my knowledge then a tent. 

I've never seen anything other than subterranean here is Arizona while remodeling etc.  At work. 

If you're in California then I suspect you could have any type. 

I would use a pro either way.
