Starter for j35??

Ok this may be a stupid question. I used to have a subi motor attached to my 091 trans, i swapped it out for a j35 and used same tranny and starter. Heres the dumb question, should i have swapped starter when I changed motor? My starter I think took a dump (will verify tomorrow) and i want to know if i messed up

Depends on the starter you had.

I had issues with an under-wired circuit feeding the starter relay eating the starter relay. Ended up swapping to a relay to feed the relay and issues were solved.

Doesn't the 091 use a specific model starter?

This is the one for the 2d/ebox. The 091 has the starter flange off to the side.
