Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced on Friday that the US will allow Qatar to build an Air Force facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, which will host Qatari F-15 fighter jets and pilots who will train alongside US troops.

The AF trains pilots from all over the world anyways. Most likely a very large price tag just to house and train them. Having their own training facilities actually takes less stress of our trainings programs. They tend to be high maintenance and require specific needs.

We’ve trained / housed “Allied Soldiers” for a long time. Their barracks were like embassies on post subject to rules / laws resembling their home countries.
I got in a world of shiat for taking a guy from Kenya with us for a three day weekend down to Savannah. They closed the entire base down (Fort Gordon) thinking the guy had been kidnapped or something.
We came back, pulled up to the gate and the MP said “holy shiat, is that Sgt. Ali?”
I’m thinking this proposal is just a way to get other countries to offset the cost of training.
 
Was just reading that Qatar has a very cozy relationship with China. They claim to have a strong alliance. We know both the Chinese and Muslim worlds want to destroy the USA from within..
I know I sound like a lunatic but shit like this always goes sideways..

Meh, the closest major city to the AF Base is Boise and it’s already been taken over…
