Leeches in Idaho dunes lake?

Hey everyone we are heading to the dunes in Idaho this year, wanted to see if there are Leeches in the lake at the dunes, google says there are, has anyone encountered them

Haven't been since 2017 and didn't see any leeches when the kids were splashing around. Didn't hear about the leeches until after our trip.

Yes, there are leeches in the ponds as well as some mites. Drying off with a rough towel immediately after getting out takes care of both.

Yes there for sure are. We take the kids to the lake every year but have never had anyone get one on them, just see them around in the water

I probably wont get in the water but my kids may splash around in it, just didnt know if they are closer to the toolies or vegetation

Kept a plastic knife just in case one wanted to stick, they are about 4'' long and look like floating worms,
