How do you folks live in California? I just drove from Oregon to Palm Springs over last two days:
1. The roads are in such terrible condition I’m surprised I have any teeth left
2. The driver’s here are hands-down the worst in the country.
3. Coalinga is the worst thing I’ve ever smelled.
3. I spent two hours in grid lock traffic on the 210 near Pasadena on a Saturday afternoon.

I don’t care how good the weather is. I’ll take some rain and long guilt free showers over this mess every day and twice on Sunday. Seriously how do you deal with this every day if you live here?

Stay in my Newport bubble until glamis season.
😜
Ha! I grew up in Costa Mesa and lived there until I got out 25 years ago. Not all the same issues as mentioned above but plenty of other ones. I don’t miss it at all. 😀😀

I hate traffic. Despise it. Had an extra 2 hours towing my trailer home today because of it.
I get it what your saying.

It used to be the greatest place to live - Now, I wanna just leave. Its tough when you are rooted BUT I am closer every day - My tolerabce is soo low for azzhats in trafic these days......

It gets harder and harder every day. More people keep coming from somewhere but they qualify for a lot of money. Rents crazy. Real-estate is crazy. Time to drive anywhere is crazy and getting worse by the year.

Cali is kind of like Fish Sticks, so good when you were young and then one day you wake up and they taste like Big Foot’s deek mixed with sawdust and no amount of ketchup can hide it.
PS, yes I know what BF’s deek tastes like.

You blew bubbles?

Move 4.5 years ago. Don't miss it. I dread it every time we go back to visit.

I think I’m going to drive back thru Nevada. It adds about 2 hours but hopefully no traffic. Even if it is 2 hours longer it has to better than I-5 and worth the extra time. And if Glamis is a bust due to wind or whatever maybe I’ll leave early and detour to Sand Mountain to check it out and buzz around a bit.

395 corridor is beautiful and less of a traffic mess.

I get pissed at my state more every day. Once, I could never have imagined leaving…

I regularly drive to Orange and South LA coming from San Diego, and when I get done with my day, sometimes I feel like a rape victim... I feel like just sitting in the shower and crying for an hour...😆

People visit the state and then complain about how much they don't like it and don't understand how people can live here. It's easy to live here, and gets better as all the cry babies leave.

Its great that you are still happy with the Golden State after many of the top tax bracket and middle class are leaving for a new start in places without all the homeless corruption and corrupt Sacramento politics. I truely believe the people remaining are going to be either low income and Very High income absorbing the taxes to pay for all the waste...... Finding that balance you have acheived is a tolerance I struggle with.

Living well is the best revenge. I wish I could accept it that good........For me,.....if my wife agrees.....I want Idaho Falls ,,,,,,Ill miss a lot of stuff but I think so many things about California are getting harder to deal with depending of the doses you are exposed to on a daily basis.

This Man has a Plan to fix EVERYTHING. 🎯🫵👍

Born and raised here. Lived in the mountains near Arrowhead my whole childhood. It was an amazing place as a kid with good weather year round and super safe. Live in Riverside now. I would love to sprout wings and move somewhere else just for a change of scenery. I am encouraging my kids (we have 4 of them) to move east to a conservative state. Our area is pretty conservative and like minded. It really is a pretty amazing state. We have it all. In my line of work (public safety) this state is by far the best. I don’t have to drive the freeways every day to get to work, I NEVER go to LA, stay out of the areas riddled with homeless, and have a great community of people around us. We go to a great church and have the kids in private school so no dealing with the BS trans junk or crazy lib teachers. We will end up settling in retirement as close as possible to where the kids settle so who knows. But in the meantime we have learned to accept our current situation and make the best of it. We have it far better than a lot of other places. Sacramento just sucks and is run by idiots but all we can do is keep voting conservative, and pray for a turn around. This last election was the most red we have ever seen on a map of our state. There is hope! BIANCO 2026!
