All the businesses left and now there are no more taxes to collect from them...I wonder how this could have happened?

City now forced to sell owned assets and fire everyone but a skeleton crew to stay alive. They don't even have time to go bankrupt and it's a full firehouse sale/emergency phase or be dissolved. This is NOT only about the democrat teachers/kid pr0n scandal they went through costing them millions. We all know what it's about and it's happening all over the country.

DESPITE having the highest taxes and cost per sqft real estate in the world AND some of the best weather and a beach location.

EVERYTHING being in their favor...democrats STILL could not figure out how to make it all work and now its all a bust / mega-fail.

As usual.

My Sons GF was attending SM College the past year, Volleyball team, etc.

Could not finish the year living there, right next to the 3rd street Prominade even....where it used to be a nice area. Homeless, druggies, etc all in her parking garage, could not walk down the street to her job at Abercrombie, etc.

Said eff it and moved to TN - she grew up here her whole life in CA. No more she said, was last straw.

The retailers constantly getting robbed/vandalized and losing money, I am surprised it lasted this long. But pretty typical of Government not recognizing that the income stream is drying up. The George Floyd (F..ck BLM) riots are the culprit, not Covid. All those companies got government handouts to help with that.

I am sure they are blaming Trump and tariffs.

Back in the summer of 2020 when looters were running amok downtown, instead of focusing on that, the cops were having their fun confronting protesters . . .

I wonder if the New Retail theft Law has had any impact....its fairly new.

California has passed new laws, including the "California Retail Theft Reduction Act" (AB 2943), to combat retail and property theft by creating a new felony for possessing over $950 in stolen goods with the intent to resell, allowing for the aggregation of stolen property values across multiple stores and counties for felony charges, and enabling retail theft restraining orders against offenders.

How many pairs of Nike AJ's does it take be over the $950 amount?

Keep pushing your HEAVILY INNACURRATE narrative bud (all videos from 2020, in case you gloss past that little detail)...

Seems there was focus, there. How many places do you think Police can be, at once?
