Best way to remove vinyl from body panels

What have you guys found to be the best way to remove vinyl from body panels? I need to get this old stuff off so I can send the panels off to powdercoat.

Mine came off by just starting at one spot and peeling it. If I hit a tough area I used a plastic putty knife to break the glue loose.

Also use a heat gun or blow dryer.

Fun fact: a heat gun is cheaper than your wife's hair blow dryer.

If the panels are powder coated now, I wouldn't worry about it. They will have to chemically strip off the old powder coating. The vinyl and glue stands no chance of surviving that chemical soak tank.
