    Ghostly Adventures from Gecko

I've had a Allison 3200MH and my current RV is a 4000.  I'm familiar with them, and the fact that they don't have "park".  But that doesn't mean you can tow them with the drive wheels down without removing the driveshaft.   Is removing the driveshaft necessary just to get it to move?  No. ...

    Ghostly Adventures from Gecko

Yeah, they just need to get in to retract slides.  Juice brake rigs still have mechanical parking brakes that can be released without getting into the rig.  Air brakes def can be released externally.  Then there's the driveshaft as already mentioned. What would really worry me if it was my rig...

    Ghostly Adventures from Gecko

Are you saying you think 99% of "ghost campers" are MHs, or just 99 of the MHs that are ghost camping have air brakes?  The former I would strongly disagree with, it's actually mostly toy haulers.  The later, I would still disagree, but you're closer.  Most Gas Class As have juice brakes, and a...

    Ghostly Adventures from Gecko

Just my opinion here, but the d00ds making that vid did themselves no favors.  They had cones/tape up first, then clearly moved their SxSs to block the same space.  Trying to argue that's just how they "happened" to park after a ride is stupid.  They know it's not the case, the LEO knows it's...

Show us your home away from home

A whole-lotta bad ass rigs to like here!  Here's ours: I change up rigs like I change my underwear, maybe more?  😉 But I hope to keep this one for a while.  I'm not sure what more I could ask for.  500/1695 HP/TQ 11.9L ISX and Allison 4000 in a 40' rig with a tag axle.   Comfort...

    Class A models

We had the Dinette in the Dutch Star, and the table/chairs in this Mountain Aire.  Otherwise they are the same floorplan (4018) and layout is nearly identical (half-bath was changed a bit).  I'd say it's one of those six one way, half-a-dozen the other type of things.  We specifically ordered...

    Class A models

I'm confused... you say the venting issue is *more* prominent with residential fridges than RV fridges?  I disagree.  The last sentence of your reply seems to contradict what I underlined, as well.   My Dutch Star, Magnitude and Mountain Aire (and the Envy 5th Wheel Toy Hauler I had) have all...

    Sandcars forsale

Craig's List, or just the list of cars Craig has for sale?  Lol.  https://str8uptoytrader.com/vehicles/sandrails/ - be ready for str8up-pricing-syndrome there though.  I think people just go 2-3x the price right now right off the bat, lol.   https://classifieds.race-dezert.com/Sand-Cars - some...

    New Polaris Pro R

There is something wrong with either the clutch/clutch setup, or the nut behind the wheel.  I run our '18 XPT from time to time, when the rail is down or just for shits 'n giggles.  I know I've posted these pics on this forum multiple times, but this wa a hot day (90+) late in the season when...

I don't think desert is easier, I think they're just very different.  As usual, you prove your ignorance and just have to chit on something if it doesn't fall exactly into YOUR definitions for fun, difficult, or a worthwhile hobby.  That said, you pretty much proved the point that it DOES take...

How many Members actually still go to Glamis?

I've been going steady since '09ish.  Used to be only 1 big trip a year in those days, because of work travel.  Then starting a few years ago I was doing 90-120 days/season in G.  No, somewhere in between.  I prob won't even make it to G 'til Jan this season, but will do a few week+ trips. -TJ

Seriously... I think somebody might have Roadrunner confused with Pad 3/5.  I've spent a lot of time at RR, and I've never met or seen a single person that's been paid to be there.   -TJ
