    What Are You Listening To

I'm not sure what you mean, they're still actively touring.  Lead singer/guitarist is the same dude it's always been, Sean McVay.  Like I said, I *just* saw them at the Mint 400, which was epic.   https://kingbuffalo.com/band Unfortunately they're rarely out on the West Coast.  KB is probably...

    What Are You Listening To

Dude, King Buffalo is amazing.  They played the Mint 400 on Sat night, almost everyone had left or was busy packing up so it was like 1-2 dozen of us hardcore fans so it was a great sounds system full stage gig basically played to us... I have a few vids I'll try to upload.  -TJ

Electric Bikes? What should I be looking for?

For fun/science I did this ride on my older Hecker yesterday: As it notes, I had the assist turned fully off.  With it off, this thing is a bit of a barge.  It weighs ~50lbs, has very high rolling resistance, and isn't especially aero either.  The ride was pretty flat, but anytime I did have...

    Speed UTV

Update after my first “real” rides: I finally got time to take the Speed out this weekend.  It had ~10 miles on it and I put about 50 more on in 3 short rides.  The idea was to go over the whole car doing a basic “nut and bolt”, go for a short ride, go over it again, lather-rise-repeat.  All...

    Speed UTV

    I'm not sure I follow.  It's a super-simple assembly.  It's basically just a spring-loaded pin with a "t handle."  This isn't the exact item, but basically this: ...

Who is ready for some MSPaint drafting?  Red is obv the "T" I describe and orange is the wire you can pull (it's inside the net, not outside... and obv my line doesn't actually follow it, it actually stays neatly along the bottom bar of the window net frame).  BTW, I guess I should just...

WRT the window nets opening, I think the pin that secures them just needs to be longer, seems like a simple fix/update: -TJ

The triple door detents are pretty nice: As is the access door to the extra storage behind the seats in the Diablo (obviously the sub limits the usefulness on this side, but the other side has a lot of good storage and easy access to the fuel tank): Some pics of the car without most...

    Speed UTV

I got mine today.  I'm very impressed with it in person in terms of build quality, fit/finish, and how robust everything at least appears to be.  I only drove it around the neighborhood a bit to bed the brakes in (which were pretty low-bite initially, but with proper bedding actually got really...

    What Are You Listening To

Lately a lot of King Buffalo.  Actually got to watch them at the Mint 400... it was wild, full stage/sound setup and maybe 2-dozen people stuck around to watch!  -TJ

Yeah, I should be a pretty low/early Diablo.  If you go back and watch the vid of the walk-through there were several Diablos in the 100s, a few 200/300s, and like I said I thought I saw one in the 700s but for sure there are some 600s (and at least one higher master number than my 650)...

For Next Sand Car - School Me

I agree.  I also like the visibility it affords.  On my car when I "remodeled" it, I kept the way set back roof (actually, more setback than it was before) and no windshield.  Also, for a 6' guy I like to sit far forward and "up on the wheel" NASCAR style.  Visibility is king.  I describe...

Trade my 32’ enclosed for a smaller 24’ or 26’

I wasn't planning on going as long as 32'... but I might be interested.  I have a 24' Alcom EZHauler (not as nice as your Pinnacle as far as accessories but same builder so same actual construction quality).  Obviously I'd be adding cash on my end, PM if you're interested... -TJ

Well, it at least looks good on sand tires!  That's Mike McGroaty that owns Idaho Duens RV/Idaho Extreme Adventures... definitely a guy that knows how to dune and really test the thing!  -TJ
