    thermostat for LS Engine

I'm not sure if I agree with the slower flow being not good...I'm no expert of course - but water will cool more in the radiator if it sits in there longer...but to your point the water will then heat more if sitting in the engine longer. I'm surprised I couldn't find a YouTube video where...

Old School 2 Seat Alumicraft Rebuild

Figure I'd post an update as to where I am with the project. Sold the 002, VW Engine, and the trailer the car came with...got ~$2500 back, which is helping fund the project. Spoke to Matt at Alumicraft to get his thoughts on a mid-engine 3.5 vs keeping it a rear engine - and after speaking...

    thermostat for LS Engine

Few people mentioned no thermostat - I use one and have never gone above 195 - but it's also my understanding that a thermostat also slows the circulation of water through the entire system - meaning, it keeps the water in the radiator longer allow it to cool down more (make sense to me at...

    The official Honda Thread

Getting close to putting together a 3.5 - and was wondering if someone could post all the mods you need to do to the stock engine to make it function in sand car? So far it seems like: EGR remove and block off plate? Weld some cap thing on the water pump? Questions I'm still figuring out...

    WAKE UP CA residents!

Depends what part of CA you are in - avoid the coast, and live in rural areas...have a well, some land - if that's your lifestyle the cost of living is pretty similar from state to state from what I've looked at. If you want to live in a housing track - then ya, cheaper outside of CA.

    Ruts are killing me!

In my case none of the nice take off were the right dimensions so I had to buy new. That file is Fox's aftermarket shocks / not the shocks that come on the units from the factory fwiw.

    Ruts are killing me!

It makes me sad - the little chatter bumps are everywhere...people with old school buggies, quads, etc won't be able to experience what most of us had the luxury of experiencing...which is to say, no chatter bumps in the dunes, anywhere - and with the suspension on those vehicles, it's...

    Ruts are killing me!

I have the same setup and had the same problem...Spend the money on internal bypass shocks - night and day difference for me. It's $, but worth it. My fronts and rears are for a side by side...the difference is they come with a rebound adjustment (it's a needle the goes up through the shaft of...

    Radiator relocation

Figured I'd share since I have the same setup...I have a heat exchanger and an oil cooler as well (just for the oil) - but I've yet to see over 200 degrees. No windshield either, I'm sure that's a factor.

    Helmets - Quality Sound?

This looks to be the best option to have quality sound for music and communication - but how do they work with Goggles? The helmets with the built in speakers I'd imagine are not the greatest for music quality / but maybe not?

    Would you buy this?

Never - I was one of the idiots that bought an original artic cat 1000 with the leaking case issue. Case had a hand engraved number and a huge wad of black silicone to hide the leak - which tells me they documented every engine that had this issue...Never again will I buy something from Arctic...

Motorhome & Enclosed or 5th wheel and why?

With a 5th wheel you realistically need something 35 ft or longer to have room for a buggy - the issue is that trying to go camping at the beach, random campgrounds, etc., gets challenging with a large 5th wheel. I switched from a 40ft 5th wheel and a dually to a 30t motorhome and a 24-foot...

It's Saturday Jan 4th 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Back from a week trip in the dunes at Gordons...Best week I've spent out there in a long time...No wind, perfect weather, good people, no loud music idiots camped next to us...The type of week that makes this my favorite place to be.
