I bought a Manx (fiberglass Buggy, not a real Manx) from AZ and need to get a Vin verification to get it registered. I thought it might be better to go through a private company, so I don't get any push back from the DMV since it has a fiberglass body on it.

Any recommendations for someone in north San Diego or Temecula Area?

I believe all VIN verifications are done by the CHP in California
 
There are private vin verifiers
Use them often
My guy is $100

But sorry he isn't in your area

Try google for a local guy
