Selling stuff on marketplace.

If you think Facebook Marketplace is bad try Craigslist for finding Employees.
They take the time to search Craigslist, send an Email with a phone number, plus a resume attached. If I try and call them as soon as the Email crosses my desk, they don't answer the phone so it goes to voice mail they have yet to set up and if you send them a text they don't call. The ones who do answer are maybe 75% no-shows to the interview.

It definitely is a psychological test. Whether your the seller or the buyer.

I have a few things listed on their now including a hobiecat im parting out. Its has gone alright. I try and keep it updated.

I have tried buying a few things and zero response. I wish Facebook would just delete ads after a couple months. I hate scrolling through stuff seeing the same non responsive seller.

I have had a lot of luck and have found really good buyers for my junk on OfferUp.

Responsive, polite, punctual... and that's all walks of life I'm using as an example (from young Hispanic females looking for Honda parts to Old White guys buying grow equipment). Most people haven't even low balled me on anything... but that may be because I set very fair prices for things I no longer use.

I did sell my XP4 900 through Marketplace and that transaction went perfect, as well.

I want to text or call somebody about what they have....can't do it on MP. Then, it takes hours for an email response.
You're right....there seems to be no reason to the way things appear in the feed. They definitly aren't sorted by ZIP Code. CL's search system is way better. If I'm looking for a Rail, Sandrail, Buggy, Dunebuggy....why do I have to put in $5,000-$6,000 for every search.

That guys description is so accurate.
I have sold many things on Offer Up and still can't figure out why people ask if its still available and I say yes and then no response. Are they just doing inventory? If I don't hear anything back after I respond yes I send another message and ask them "Are you just putting it on your wishlist"

I had to Google it to understand and I still don't. Somehow when you reply, they take your information and sell it. You'll notice a lot of FB ads now say they won't respond to the preset question.

Interesting.
A few of them that I have called out actually responded and they wanted to meet to buy it but for some reason always backed out. Imagine that... 😄
