Thanks Jerry! Seems like this is really the only weak point of these cars. Gotta finish the reinforcements, then the windshield and itll be ready for powder!

    My 2006 Wuerth Motorsports Build

Got the chassis all disassembled for the most part and started adding reinforcements. The only area I am reinforcing is the pivot tube area. other than that, this chassis has held up incredibly. In addition to adding reinforcements, I am trying to clean up some of my old welds from years ago...

has anyone seen a compound turbo set up in the dunes?

Saw a few compound set ups on 4G63's back when i was heavily into the Evo/DSM racing. seemed to work pretty well!

    My 2006 Wuerth Motorsports Build

Few misc updates from the weekend: One of the spindles was anodized black. it had been used by Tatum at a show on display years ago, and wanted to take the anodizing off. So went to town on it with a can of oven cleaner and took it most of the way off! Also got some bolts and cut them down...

Yes the Tatum spindles are meant for a lower uniball and upper heim. the Black Widow, Spyder, Evolution etc are all that way as well. The spacing was to keep my geometry all the same. appears to be 0 bumpsteer!

    My 2006 Wuerth Motorsports Build

Well finally got around to starting to pull the front end apart for the overhaul. This time, it was the driver spindle that was cracked. Both bolts (tie rod and kingpin bolt) were bent, and the spindle was almost cracked in 2 pieces LOL. I will be posting pics of the Tatum spindle mock up...
